Chris Leben is Looking to Make a Statement at UFC 155

Chris Leben (22-8), who was suspended for one year after he test positive for oxycodone and oxymorphone at UFC 138, says when he returns it will be as a changed man.

"I've been trying to make a different Chris Leben for years and years," said Leben said on MMA Junkie Radio. "I've always been saying I'm going to take this fight to the ground, I'm going to show my ground game and utilize my other skills, and then it just doesn't seem to happen."

Karlos Vemola (9-3) will be the first test for Leben upon his return. The two are scheduled to fight at UFC 155 on December 29.

"I know that with where I'm at and what I need to do, that my real goal is to go out and make a statement," said Leben. "I want to get back in the mix, so I've got to go out and handle Vermola and then hopefully [UFC matchmaker] Joe [Silva] will put me up against a little bigger name."
