NHL News: Bryzgalov Has Deal in Place with Flyers

| by Off The Record

A source close to the situation tells OTR that Ilya Bryzgalov has a deal in place with the Philadelphia Flyers. It’s not shocking since the Flyers traded a 2012 third-round pick, future considerations and forward Matt Clackson for the former Phoenix Coyote goalie. I don’t think anyone really believed that he would sign elsewhere as a free agent.

“It’s definitely a done deal and will be announced on July 1st,” the source said.

The source added that the announcement could come sooner if the Flyers were able to trade salary between now and then.

We didn’t get many details on the numbers, but the source believes that it is a seven-year deal.
