Police in a Wisconsin town are investigating a potential new lead in the case of a teen missing since 2009 after a disturbing video uploaded to YouTube (below) resurfaced online.

Police in Antigo are reportedly investigating the video as a lead in the disappearance of Kayla Berg after a video titled "Hi Walter! I got a new gf!" became viral online for a second time.

In the video, originally posted in 2009, an unknown man describes to somebody named Walter how he met his new "girlfriend," who says he met at the mall.

At the end of the video, the man, identified only as Patrick, opens a door to reveal a young girl bound and gagged, screaming for help.

In August 2009, 15-year-old Kayla disappeared. She has not been seen since. The video was uploaded two months later, in October 2009.

"It sounded like her, looked like her, it gave me chills," Kayla's mother, Hope Sprenger, told WAOW. "It made me sick to my stomach."

Sprenger says certain details in the video led her to believe it may be Kayla in what appears to be a bathroom in a basement.

"The clothing could be a big possibility," the mother said. "We do believe she was wearing that type of shirt, we know she had jeans."

She added, "I thought it looked a lot like her. I pray to God it's not."

Antigo Police agree the girl in the video looks like Kayla.

"We'll do whatever we can to find out who's in there and identify them," Police Chief Eric Roller said. "Sometimes that's hard on the web because of wherever this stuff may originate from [but] we're going to do everything we can to get to the bottom of it."

The video, originally uploaded to a YouTube channel called "Hi Walter, It's Me Patrick," was removed from YouTube, but has since been re-uploaded after the video went viral.

An Imgur user analyzed the video after it resurfaced and encouraged police to investigate for a possible connection to Kayla's kidnapping.

Some viewers believe the video may be a hoax due to the man's behavior, but police believe it could be real and have launched the investigation.
