A 23-year-old woman was beaten to death at a nightclub in California, and now, police say that one suspect has been arrested.
Kim Pham is currently brain dead but remains on life support at a Santa Ana hospital after the vicious beating on Saturday.
“People have come forward that have provided us with videos and have come in and provided statements that have given detectives enough information to believe that this person was involved in at least the physical part of this altercation,” said Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna of the detained suspect. Police say they are currently searching for four other suspects, two men and two women, who were seen along with the detailed suspect beating Pham to death.
According to reports, Pham was waiting outside of a nightclub with friends when she got into an argument with a woman. The group that the woman was with stepped in, and that’s when the brutal beating occurred.
“Two or three of the female suspects knocked her to the ground, were physically assaulting her and kicking her, and they fled the scene,” said Bertagna.
Pham’s sister reportedly posted on Facebook that he sister had been murdered, but neither the police nor hospital officials have confirmed that she’s been taken off life support.
“I can't believe something like this would happen to someone, especially my cousin,” said relative Kathleen Trinh. “She was always a fun loving person. She has a bubbly personality. Anyone that's around her is always happy, she has an uplifting spirit.”
Police are actively investigating this gruesome attack and are asking the public for help finding the remaining suspects.
