A picture of a woman breastfeeding her son at a wedding in Germany has gone viral, receiving around 5,000 likes on Instagram.

Naomi Jael posted the image of her feeding TJ with the caption "When you are at a wedding, wear fancy dresses and high heels and your baby gets hungry," according to the Daily Mail.

Leaving no doubt about her response, the 21-year-old mother added, "Well... You give no s***ts and feed the kid."

The picture attracted a large number of comments, which were overwhelmingly supportive. Parents’ groups also noticed the post and shared it.

“I love this picture it's beautiful/funny and truly just plain inspiring and it represents what breastfeeding should be. This picture just makes me want to be your friend lol,” one woman wrote.

“Go mama! love this. we need more exposure like this. so over our society sexualizing breasts and allowing that to be ‘ok’ but when used to feed your child, we're suddenly shamed. time to flip the script. you're helping us get there,” wrote another.

But not everyone was impressed. Some criticized Jael for being so open about her breastfeeding.

“Whoever gets mad about this,” she wrote in response, attaching a laughing face.

“I also fed my son at the church [ceremony] IN the church. Here in Germany people don't get mad about it,” Jael added.

“It is NORMAL. Nothing rude or bad about it. This is why I have breasts! Cause God gave me boobs for feeding my babies,” she wrote.

Jael also showed her appreciation for the positive comments her picture received.

"Thanks guys ! I am overwhelmed by the good and the bad! But eventually everybody is gonna realize, that's what has been done and that's what will be done ! Thanks for the support. And if you hate me so much... I'm sorry that's your problem," she wrote.

Women breastfeeding in public remains a controversial subject in many parts of the world. Earlier this month, several hundred women gathered in Hong Kong to protest the social stigma surrounding it by nursing their babies in public.

The same day, female members of the U.S. military gathered in uniform to breastfeed their babies at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C., Vogue reported.
