A 13-year-old girl could have a claim to an estimated $42 million from Prince's estate.
Victoria Nelson is the granddaughter of Duane Nelson, Prince’s half-brother, and would therefore be able to file a claim for a portion of his fortune, legal firm Heir Hunters International alleges.
“Victoria is Duane Nelson's only surviving blood relative and has just as much right to a share of Prince's estate as do his half brothers and sisters,” John Hilbert of Heir Hunters International told the Daily Mail.
“She is Prince's grandniece, so she ‘steps up’ by the right of representation to take her grandfather Duane Nelson's share,” he added. “She could be line to inherit tens of millions of dollars, but she won't be able to receive the money until her 18th birthday."

Prince did not make a will prior to his death April 21 at the age of 57, according to media reports. It is speculated that Prince never made a will because he was paranoid about putting his name to a document due to problems he had with contracts during his career.
Tyka Nelson, Prince’s only surviving full sibling, filed court papers April 26 calling for a special administrator to be appointed to manage her brother’s business interests.
“I do not know of the existence of a will and have no reason to believe that the decedent executed testamentary documents in any form,” the paperwork read.
Prince is believed to have owned $27 million in property assets and his total net worth was estimated at around $300 million.

Sheila E., Prince’s long-time drummer, said there are plans to turn the musician’s Paisley Park home into a museum, BBC reported.
Police continue to investigate the cause of Prince’s death. Although suicide has been ruled out, reports allege police officers are still considering a criminal homicide probe if it emerges that doctors supplied Prince with drugs.
