A homeless woman in Russia was decapitated by a train while having sex near the Trans-Siberian railway.

“The woman was on top of her partner and when she heard an approaching train, she started to stand up,” a Russian Railways source explained, the Daily Mail reports. “Right then, the speeding train tore her head off. Had she remained in her previous position, she would have stayed alive.”

Her male partner, also homeless, survived the ordeal. It is believed the couple was inebriated at the time.

The train company hopes this serves as a warning to those who cross the train tracks during peak hours.

“Dear citizens, Russian Railways yet again ask you to respect health and safety rules,” the company said. “Be responsible and take care of yourself and your family and friends.”

It’s not the first time somebody died while having sex, The Mirror reports.

Canadian couple Charles McKenzie, 67, and his wife, 63-year-old Dorothy, were having sex in a Mexican hotel hot tub before both died.

The parents were visiting the area for their daughter’s wedding in November 2015, but never made it to see their child walk down the altar.

Charles had a heart attack before his wife died of "asphyxiation by submersion” only two days before their daughter was to marry.

Authorities said at first they worried the deaths were caused by a hotel malfunction, yet it was later revealed that was not the case.

"The room was perfectly fine,” said a hotel spokesperson. “All the equipment was working perfectly. "What the family mentioned was a heart attack. We are treating them as our own family. All the group is very calm, in the best way they can be."

It is not clear whether or not the daughter ended up going through with her wedding.

"I know that they’re more concerned about the remains and cremation and things like that,” Mckenzie’s brother-in-law Douglas Hastings said at the time. “I don’t really know about the wedding."
