When an Ohio police officer pulled over a speeding vehicle, the outcome was completely unexpected.
Mark Ross, who had just received a call at 3 a.m. to inform him his sister had been killed in a fatal car accident, was a passenger in the car, WDTN reported.
“Of course we were speeding, trying to get back to Detroit,” Ross wrote on Facebook, according to WDTN. “And we got pulled over in Ohio.”

The driver of the vehicle had a warrant for his arrest in Wayne County and was taken into custody while the vehicle was towed. Ross said he broke down crying when explaining to the officer that he had to get to Detroit to be with his mother.
The officer began praying over Ross, before making an unexpected offer.
“He offered to bring me 100 miles [closer] to Detroit because they towed the vehicle,” Ross added.
After being contacted by WDTN, Ross stressed how grateful he was for the officer’s actions.

In his Facebook post, he indicated that the incident had changed his view of the police.
“Everybody knows how much I dislike cops but I am truly grateful for this guy. He gave me hope,” Ross wrote.
In July, an Atlanta deputy who pulled a man over for a similar traffic violation ended up praying with him.
Brandon Wiggins stopped a truck for speeding, but noticed another two cars pull up, as well, when he did so. As he got out of his patrol car, a man approached him from one of the cars and told him the driver of the truck was his son.
The man went on to say that his father had suffered a stroke and was in the hospital, so the family was trying to reach him quickly.
But the man still wanted to take time to pray for the officer’s safety and wellbeing. Wiggins was moved.
“My heart sank, and as he prayed for me and my brothers in blue my eyes filled with tears. I was at a loss for words, this man with all he had going on stopped to pray for me,” Wiggins told WSB.
