Omarosa Harassed While Shopping With Bridesmaids

| by Zara Zhi

Newly appointed White House director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison, Omarosa Manigault, 43, was reportedly harassed while out shopping for bridesmaid's dresses as two women followed her and called her "Trump's whore."

Yahoo News reports the 43-year-old became engaged to Florida pastor John Allen Newman on July 28, and she will appear on an episode of TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress."

The bride-to-be took five of her bridesmaids to high-end shopping mall, Tyson's Corner Center in Virginia.

Manigault, who was born on Feb. 5, was also having a pre-birthday celebration and posted a video of her bridesmaids modeling dresses on twitter. "Celebrating my birthday early shopping with my lovely bridesmaids," she tweeted on Feb. 4 at 12:50 p.m.

But things took a turn for the worse when a few shoppers saw the Trump cabinet member and decided to pester her, say bystanders. "They were letting her have it," said a witness, according to the Washington Post. At around 6 p.m. the Trump supporter complained to Nordstrom employees that to anonymous women had hassled her and requested security.

Nordstrom responded by calling in their "loss prevention" team to curb the situation while around a dozen gawkers looked on, according to the Washington Post.

One of the women even yelled out "Trump's whore" at Manigault. Making matters worse, she was walking with a cane and wearing an orthopedic boot due to a foot injury she sustained at Trump's inauguration.

The former "Apprentice" villain was said to be distraught over the encounter and reportedly said, "These fat ladies won't stop following me."

The Washington Post reports the women were eventually identified and asked to leave the store, to which they acquiesced. White House officials confirmed that Manigault was harassed by two women and that security had to escort the former reality television star back to her car.

Nordstrom also verified Manigault's claim, but the event has already taken a toll on the already strained relationship Nordstrom has with the White House. On Feb. 2, the retailer announced they would no longer carry Ivanka Trump's fashion line because of poor sales performance.

The details of Manigault's wedding remain under wraps.
