An officer from the Smyrna Police Department in Georgia reportedly received a Black Lives Matter note on his Krispy Kreme order.
The message was handwritten on some of the packaging, according to WXIA.
Officers from the department swiftly arranged a meeting with managers at the store to discuss the matter.
"While it is clear this behavior was egregious in nature, Krispy Kreme did take responsibility for the incident," said Louis Defense, spokesman for the Smyrna Police Department, according to WXIA.

The department subsequently received a letter from the company.
"On behalf of all of us at Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation, we sincerely apologize for the incident," the letter stated.
Krispy Kreme added that the matter had been dealt with at the store.

"For those who are not aware, this is extremely disrespectful to law enforcement," the post read, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Krispy Kreme does not disclose the disciplinary action it takes in such instances.
"We moved quickly to investigate the matter and take appropriate action," corporate spokeswoman Sarah Roof added. "As a company, we value both our customers and employees and respect all viewpoints. The experience did not live up to these high standards we set for ourselves."
The police department welcomed the rapid response from Krispy Kreme.
The incident occurred as a survey was published revealing that three-quarters of all police officers believe their interactions with black people have become more tense following a number of police shootings of unarmed men.
The Pew Research Center poll also found a widespread view among police officers that the public misunderstood them, Reuters reported.
Two-thirds of police officers said the killings of unarmed men were isolated problems. This contrasted with a separate Pew study which found that 60 percent of the general public thought the killings resulted from a broader, systemic problem.
