A man in the U.K. is prohibited from contacting his wife who he married less than three months ago after he had an affair with his wedding hairdresser.
Harry McNeil, 23, of Brecon in Mid Wales, married his childhood sweetheart Bronwen Phillips, 24, in November 2014, but parted ways two weeks after discovering her husband’s infidelity.
According to the Daily Mail, after the affair with wedding hair dresser Alexandra Kotri turned sour, McNeil tried to win back his wife, who he had been with for six years, through a barrage of texts and banging on her door, a court was told.
The cheating husband has now been warned not to make any contact with Phillips after her solicitor told him to stay away from her home.
“On November 16th the defendant sent texts to the victim pleading for her forgiveness and said he wanted her back and that he loved her,” prosecutor Julie Sullivan told the Brecon Magistrates Court. “She received approximately 14 messages and nine or 10 calls.”
“The defendant was warned by the victim’s solicitor, who she had instructed in divorce proceedings, not to contact Ms Phillips,” Sullivan adds. “On December 17th the defendant turned up at the victim’s house and began banging on the door, banging the letterbox and pushing the door in an attempt to get in.”
McNeil was handed a nine-month community order with six months supervision and he is required to attend the respectful relationships course, The Brecon & Radnor Express reports. The restraining order prevents him from contacting Phillips or from attending at her home.
He must also do 100 hours unpaid work and pay £85 ($128) costs and a £60 ($90) victim surcharge.
Kotri admitted the fling but says the relationship is over, saying, “It only lasted a couple of weeks.”
