The best thing about Christmas is having the opportunity to show your loved ones how much they mean to you. You don’t give someone a gift just so that they have that object; you give it to them because you love them and want them to know how much you appreciate having them in your life.

This week, a young man named Joe Riquelme did just that.

According to Gawker, Riquelme built the phone app Videoshop, which apparently is successful enough to allow him to afford a gift like this:

That’s right: Riquelme paid off his parents’ mortgage.

As noted by one Reddit user, the fact that Riquelme did what he did is awesome. But the best part of the video? It's that the family was just sitting together before that, enjoying each other’s company on Christmas morning.
