Watch: Former Students Give Retiring First Grade Teacher Incredible Send-Off

All of us can likely look back on our schooling years and pick out those one or two teachers who really made a difference in our lives.

If you’ve been a teacher for, say, four decades, chances are there are a lot of people whose lives you impacted. Retiring Tennessee first grade teacher Nancy Flexer learned this firsthand recently.

When Flexer walked into Cole Elementary school for her last day of work, she wasn’t greeted by her usual students. Instead, she was greeted by dozens of people she’s taught during her career as a beloved elementary teacher that started in 1973.

The former students share kind words, stories, and notes with a tearful (and speechless) Flexer. You’ll want to watch this one:
