President Barack Obama delivered his farewell speech on Jan. 10 in Chicago and remarked on the changes he and his family underwent in the last eight years. Observers could not help noticing how his eldest daughter, Malia, had grown into a mature young adult from the precocious 10-year-old she was when he was first sworn into office.
Her ladylike demeanor at the event was in stark contrast to the typical teen behavior she exhibited at the Lollapalooza event six months ago when she was snapped twerking, appearing to smoke a marijuana joint, and attending a party which featured a huge bong, the Daily Mail reports.
That, in turn, was vastly different from her public image as a confident young 10-year-old waving to the crowds back in 2008 when her father was elected the 44th president of the United States.

Malia appeared at her father's farewell address wearing a stylish wool coat and chic black boots. At 6-foot 1-inch tall, commentators noted how grown-up she appeared with a mature, glamorous look to her that complemented the style of her parents.
Tears ran down Malia's cheeks when her father said in his final address to the nation: "Malia and Sasha, under the strangest of circumstances, you have become two amazing young women, smart and beautiful, but more importantly, kind and thoughtful and full of passion.
"You wore the burden of years in the spotlight so easily. Of all that I've done in my life, I'm most proud to be your dad."

Malia and First Lady Michelle Obama attended McCormick Place -- the site of the president's official farewell -- while youngest daughter Sasha was notably absent.
Her absence sparked a popular "#wheressasha" Twitter trend that had followers joking and proposing funny theories as to what she had been doing instead.
Among the speculations proposed was that the 15-year old was "setting 'Home Alone' traps for Trump" or physically keeping the new president from entering the White House, The Independent reports.
One user wrote: "You know Michelle's the kinda mom who's like 'GROUNDED MEANS GROUNDED' #wheressasha"
Others joked that she was too busy playing the game Candy Crush, or watching the TV show "This is Us."
In an interview with ABC, Barack spoke of how he felt watching his daughters grow up in the White House, and the concerns he had that they might "develop an attitude."
"All I can say is they have turned out to be terrific young women," he said. "They are sweet, kind, funny, smart, respectful people, and they treat everybody with respect.
"You know, we feel pretty good when ... they go to other folks' houses and when the parents say, 'Oh, you know, Malia, she's just so sweet,'" he said.
The Obama girls were just 10 and 7, respectively, when they moved into the White House. But the two children learned to adapt to the circumstances.
"They complained about Secret Service as they became teenagers," Obama said. "But as you might imagine, if you're a teenager having a couple of people with microphones and guns always following you around, that could grate on them. But they've handled it with grace, and I give Michelle most of the credit for how well they've done."
The Obamas will be moving into the Kalorama neighborhood of Washington, D.C., to ride out Sasha's remaining years in high school.
