A former Utah high school teacher, who was sentenced to a maximum of 30 years in prison for having sex with three underage students, begged for leniency at her parole hearing.
Brianne Altice, 37, was sentenced in November on three counts of second-degree felony forcible sexual abuse, reports the Daily Mail.
She was arrested in October 2013 when a 16-year-old boy reported having a sexual relationship with her, after which two 17-year-old boys came forward with the same accusation.
Altice must serve at least two years in prison, and the parole board must decide within the next month whether to set a release date.

The mother of two went before the Utah Board of Pardons and Parole on Jan. 24 and took full responsibility for her actions. "This was no one's fault but my own," she insisted.
She explained to the Board that she had been attending therapy for the self-esteem issues that she blamed for motivating the sexual relationships she had with the underage victims.
"I clearly lost sight of all my values and principles and was seeking inappropriate means to address my own issues," she said, as quoted by The Salt Lake Tribune.
"There's no justification for it," she added. "This was no one else's fault but my own. This was not my ex-husband's fault, or the school's fault, or my students' fault. These were my poor, poor decisions. I'm very aware of it now and I am very remorseful. I regret the decisions I made that brought us here."

The Altice case did not make the list of “The 50 Most Infamous Female Teacher Sex Scandals," which was recently published by the website Zimbio.
The site's top-ranking scandal involved Mary Kay Letourneau, the teacher who was jailed for raping one of her sixth-grade students in 1997 -- she ended up marrying him after being released from prison in 2004.
In 2016, the couple threw a public party and called it “Hot For Teacher Night,” named after popular song by Van Halen.
