A U.S. Postal Service employee won’t be delivering any more packages and is in the process of losing her job after being caught on video (below) throwing a package, officials said.

Hassan Hamze, of Greensboro, North Carolina, told ABC News a motion sensor video camera that is part of his doorbell captured the toss. Hamze said he was at work on Nov. 5 when he got an alert on his phone from the motion sensor.

“My regular postal service worker never pulled into my driveway,” he said. “It made me wonder why she did.”

Hamze watched from his phone as the delivery driver threw the package, containing nearly $200 worth of electronics, from his driveway onto his doorstep.

“She made it yeah, she hit the plant, she got it to the door,” he told WFMY News.

“That’s not professional at all, I mean, I was not expecting someone from the Postal Service to do that,” he added. “But, it was a big shocker to me.”

He sent the recorded video to the post office.

“The postmaster called me the same day, 30 minutes after I sent the video and he said 'I’m sorry,'” Hamze told ABC.

A representative from the post office told WFMY the mail carrier in the video was a substitute on the route.

In a statement sent to ABC, the Postal Service said a thrown package is “unacceptable.”

“If we discover an incident of a package being thrown or mishandled, we investigate and take appropriate steps to remedy the situation with the customer and to prevent future incidents by the carrier or clerk involved,” the statement read.

A Postal Service representative told ABC the employee is no longer delivering mail and is in the process of being let go.
