Here’s a short list of things you hope to find inside a burger: cheese, tomato, lettuce, ketchup and mustard. Here’s an even shorter list of things you definitely don’t hope to find inside a burger: spiders. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what Russian woman Juliana Ulyanova found inside her McDonald’s burger recently.
Ulyanova was eating with her friend when she spotted the critter.
"I was just going to take a bite when [my friend] screamed and pointed at my burger,” she told Mirror. "There, sitting on a piece of cheese and partially hidden by some lettuce, was this horrible black spider.”
The spider was tiny, she says, but that’s irrelevant.
"Although it was smaller than my finger nail, it wasn’t much smaller and it was pitch black and fat like a hairy olive,” she says. "I couldn’t believe it."
Here’s a picture:
Ulyanova went to McDonald’s and demanded a refund. Daily Star reached out to McDonald’s Europe for a comment, but the company has not yet responded.
