United Airlines Passenger Arrested After Threatening Woman During Flight

| by Emily Smith

A United Airlines flight from Nashville to Houston was forced to turn around after one woman who was asked to turn off her cellphone, replied with, "I kill white people like you."

When one passenger asked 43-year-old Lashonda Lee Williams to turn her cell phone off for the flight, Williams lashed out in response. Williams insisted that she would follow the woman home once the flight landed.

When a flight attendant noticed that Williams' comments were creating fear and anxiety in other passengers, the flight crew decided to turn the plane around and land back in Nashville.

Williams was arrested for assault by police at the Nashville International Airport.

After being booked in Davidson County Jail, the Houston resident was released on $3,000 bond and scheduled for a court hearing on June 25.
