Two men had their legs amputated after being pinned between two cars in an alleged racially charged hate crime.
An argument broke out in the parking lot of Los Angeles strip club, Sam’s Hofbrau, at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday.
An African American man in his 50s allegedly used his white BMW to ram two Hispanic men, pinning them between the car and a black Mini-Cooper. The Mini-Cooper, which belonged to one of the employees, was then push up against the wall of the strip club.
The suspect reportedly made racial comments to the men before the incident took place. Afterwards he sat in his car with his head slumped for a long while before his arrest. He is charged with two counts of attempted murder.
"He rammed his vehicle into them (the victims) with malicious intent," the LAPD Lieutenant Lee McMillion told Daily News.
According to the LAPD, both victims were taken to the hospital to undergo surgery. One will lose his right leg above the knee. The other will have both his legs amputated above the knee.
