Olivia Newton-John's ex-boyfriend has allegedly been discovered living in Mexico more than 10 years after disappearing during a fishing trip.
Patrick McDermott vanished June 30, 2005, after falling from a fishing boat off the California coast, according to Daily Mail.
But no trace was ever found of his body. None of the 22 passengers on board saw him fall, and the Coast Guard declared in 2008 he had likely drowned after finding no trace of him during a long search.
After that, private investigator Phillip Klein began looking into the case, and found evidence suggesting McDermott was alive and living in Mexico.

In 2009, Klein received a letter from a representative of McDermott that the private investigator believes is authentic.
“Pat has asked that I portray to you his innocence. Pat has committed no crime. Pat simply wishes to be left alone,” the letter read, according to the Daily Mail.
“Let him live his life in peace and harmony. He is safe and has started anew again in a new place both physically and mentally. Stop this search immediately,” it continued.
Klein published a book in 2012 about his investigation, which claimed to have tracked McDermott down to a small town in rural Mexico. It is alleged he is living there with a new girlfriend.

“His attorney called from Mexico City and said that Patrick didn't want to be bothered,” Klein added.
Before disappearing, McDermott had unpaid debts of more than $30,000 and had filed for bankruptcy. This included $8,000 of child support payments due to his ex-wife, Yvette Nipar, for their son, Chance.
Nipar believes McDermott is dead, and has urged the speculation to stop. She even wrote to Jeff Bezos to urge the Amazon founder not to promote Klein’s book.
“My son has been through enough emotional torment over this. He has yet to be able to move on due to Mr. Klein's continual effort to keep him in the public eye,” Nipar wrote.
Newton-John is now married to John Easterling, the founder of natural remedy firm Amazon Herb Company.
She was recently on a Latin American tour, performing her hits for fans in Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Argentina, according to the Daily Mail.
She has taken up residence in Las Vegas and has a new album due out in June.
