Video: Gary Connery Sets Record for Skydiving Without Parachute

| by Michael Allen

Gary Connery, a British stuntman, has become the first person to jump from 700 meters high without a parachute and survive (video below).

After waiting for perfect weather conditions, Connery performed his stunt near London.

Connery wore a specially designed suit that slowed his descent. But despite the suit, he still shot downward at a speed of about 80 miles per hour.

His descent lasted less than a minute, as he landed on a large pile of cardboard boxes.

After the landing, Connery said “It’s been an amazing experience."
