Bus passengers in Pittsburgh will be observed today by TSA agents, Port Authority Police and first responders as part of a “security exercise."
According to CBS Pittsburgh, the Port Authority says the city's transit system is being used as a test location (video below).
The "security exercise" is being led by the TSA Mass Transit and Passenger Rail Division to detect and prevent any terror threats or attacks.
A similar TSA “security exercise” happened in Houston, Texas in 2012, but didn't go so well, reported ABC 13 (video below).
TSA agents rode buses, interrogated passengers and performed random bag searches.
Angry citizens complained at a Houston METRO board meeting about what they saw as a violation of the 4th amendment by the TSA.
