Train Passengers Lift 32-Ton Train Car, Save Woman's Life

About 40 Japanese train passengers partially lifted a 32-ton train car to rescue an unidentified woman who fell between the car and the train platform.

The incident happened at the Japan Railway Minami Urawa Station in Saitama, near Tokyo, this morning.

A photographer from Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper was on the scene and shot pictures of the amazing rescue, notes the Associated Press.

The effort to save the woman started after a public announcement that a passenger was trapped.

After only an eight-minute delay, the train went back to its rush hour service.
