Teen Playing 'Zombie' Killed by Bus Carrying Paintball Players

A bus full of paintball players hit and killed Jeremy McSpadden who was pretending to be a "zombie" at a Halloween-themed corn maze in Hauser, Idaho, on Friday night.

McSpadden was part of the “Field of Screams” attraction at the Incredible Corn Maze where customers paid $15 to ride a modified school bus and shoot paintballs at "zombies."

According to Reuters, McSpadden was run over by the rear wheels of the bus and did not get up.

“The focus of the attraction is the bus creeps forward so the customers have plenty of opportunity to blast away at the zombies,” Kootenai County Sheriff’s Sgt. Ward Crawford told the Associated Press. “This looks like it was just a horrific confluence of events.”

"Everyone just thought it was part of the act," added Sgt. Crawford.

The Incredible Corn Maze announced on its Facebook page and website that it had closed down all of its attractions over the weekend.
