A woman crashed a SUV into a building in downtown Kansas City last Thursday.

Police chased the woman, who reportedly ran stop signs at speeds up to 80 m.p.h., for 18 blocks.

Eventually, she lost control of the allegedly stolen car, hit a fire hydrant and crashed into a building, causing it to partially collapse (videos below).

“She didn’t stop driving like crazy,” Kansas City Police Capt. Chris Sicoli told The Kansas City Star. “Luckily, the building has been vacant.”

Kansas City Fire Battalion Chief James Garrett said the driver was not seriously injured, but was taken to a local hospital.

The building’s owner Chris Willsey kept several unrestored cars in the structure, which dated back to the 1920s.

“They’re unrestored vehicles,” Willsey told Fox 4 KC. “They’re old, antique vehicles from the 40s, 50s, 60s.”
