Video: Traffic Sign Hacked to Flash 'God Hates Gays'

An electronic road sign was recently hacked and started flashing “God Hates Gays” near Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

A driver posted a video (below) of the sign on YouTube on Thursday. The sign flashes "Follow Detour" and then “God Hates Gays.”

An Utah Department of Transportation spokesperson said that the road sign was “reprogrammed” by persons unknown.

It is well-known that the Mormon Church does not approve of homosexuality and contributed about $8 million to push the anti-gay marriage law, Prop. 8, in California.

It is not known if a Brigham Young student hacked the sign.
