A man was almost hit from behind by an out-of-control semi-truck on Interstate 95 in New Jersey.
The motorist had come to a stop because he was blocked by two trucks on the highway. He decided to film the trucks in front of him when he heard an 18 wheeler coming up behind him, noted Uproxx.com (video below).
Fortunately, the third truck avoided hitting him, but ended up crashing through a concrete barrier in the opposite lane.
Across the country on Interstate 84, another motorist was almost killed during a 50-car pileup on Saturday morning near Baker City, Oregon (video below).
Kaleb Whitby was driving his Chevy Silverado when a semi-truck jackknifed in front of him and he was unable to avoid hitting it.
Moments after that collision, a second semi-truck slammed into his vehicle, wedging him in between the massive trucks. He used a pocketknife to cut his seatbelt off and remove his steering wheel.
Amazingly, Whitby was not seriously injured.
"I've got two Band-Aids on my right ring finger," Whitby told The Oregonian. "And a little bit of ice on my left eye."
