Drunk Driver Fled Police So He Could Finish Big Mac

Accused drunk driver Randall Miller led a police officer on a chase through Brunswick, Ohio because he “just wanted to eat his Big Mac before he stopped,” says the police report.

Miller was spotted driving erratically after leaving a McDonald’s drive-thru lane at about 1 a.m. on on Sept. 28.

Police Officer Clifford Smith responded to a call about a reckless driver and chased Miller for several blocks until he stopped, noted CBS Cleveland.

“I initiated a traffic stop and the subject failed to stop,” wrote Officer Clifford Smith in his police report.

Officer Smith added that he smelled alcohol on Miller's breath during the stop.

Miller reportedly apologized to Officer Smith and added that he “was too drunk and he just wanted to eat his Big Mac before he stopped.”

According to The Smoking Gun, Miller's blood alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit.

Miller was charged with several counts, including drunk driving and fleeing an officer.
