A Boston Globe delivery truck went flying over a guard rail early Monday morning after being hit by an alleged drunk driver.
Boston Globe driver Paul Healy was on Interstate 93 when a 2006 Cadillac sedan hit his truck from the side at about 3:15 a.m.
Healy's truck crashed into the guard rail, fell about 40 feet and then landed on the Exit 26 ramp below, noted Mediaite.com.
A video (below) of the incident was recorded from what appears to be a surveillance camera, but that is unconfirmed.
Fortunately, Healy was not seriously injured and is listed in fair condition at Massachusetts General Hospital.
According to the Boston Globe, the driver of the Cadillac sedan is Vivencia Bellegarde, who was charged with negligent operation, operating under the influence of alcohol, and operating under the influence of alcohol causing serious bodily injury.
Even though the incident was captured on video, Bellegarde plead not guilty on Monday in Boston Municipal Court. She was ordered to be held on $10,000 cash bail and is banned from driving or consuming alcohol.
