A 12-year-old girl, whose name has not been released, led police on a wild 50-mile chase from Gaffney, South Carolina, to Charlotte, North Carolina, after getting into a fight with her dad on Monday night (video below).

According to WCOS-TV, police caught up to the underage driver for the last 15 to 20 minutes of her joyride, which included driving up to 70 m.p.h.

She eventually pulled over in Charlotte, North Carolina, after driving more than 50 miles and crossing a state line.

Police called for back up from the State Highway Patrol shortly after they started following the girl at 10:30 p.m. on Monday night.

The police initially became involved because they thought that the driver, who was going slow at some points and swerving, was possibly drunk.

Police officers tried to perform a rolling stop where they have one car go in front of the suspect and another behind in order to attempt to slow the driver's speed.

However, the girl avoided this trick by driving aggressively and evading the police.

Eventually, she pulled over and police officers took her to a nearby hospital while they contacted her parents, who have since picked her up.

No one was injured in the incident, and there was no property damage.

The girl faces several traffic-related charges, including driving without a license, failure to maintain lane control, failure to obey police commands and impeding traffic with a slow speed.
