When an Ohio woman passed away, her family suspected that her husband did not have much time left.
Helen and Kenneth Felumlee first met as teenagers and instantly hit it off. The couple fell in love had to do something about it, so they got married.
After more than 70 years together, Helen passed away at the age of 92 and the couple's eight children, 23 grandchildren, and 42 great-grandchildren felt that Kenneth did not have long because he could not live without her.

Just 15 hours after Helen passed away, Kenneth joined her in death. It seems the family was correct in that he could not handle being apart from his wife.
"We knew when one went, the other was going to go," the couple's daughter, Linda Cody, told NBC News.
Cody said that about 12 hours after Helen died, Kenneth's health quickly faded and, by the next morning, he had passed away surrounded by 24 members of his family.
"He was ready," Cody said. "He just didn't want to leave her here by herself."

According to AWM, following the couple's death, the family learned a secret that they had been hiding for years: They had actually gotten married before they were of legal age. Helen and Kenneth pretended to be of legal age and got married without anybody finding out.
"He couldn't wait," his son, Jim Felumlee said.
At the time, it wasn't uncommon for underage couples to marry. What is shocking is to see a couple last a lifetime after getting married so young. The Felumlee's marriage serves as an inspiration to all married couples and proves that true love really can last, right up until the very end.
