New information has come to light regarding the circumstances surrounding the death of Holli Jeffcoat, the mentally disabled teenager who was found murdered on Feb. 10.

Jeffcoat, who was 18 and pregnant at the time of her death, was found with her throat slashed and her uterus removed. The crime occurred inside the home she shared with her mother, Deborah Holland, and her stepfather, James Holland, in Lubbock, Texas. The house had been set on fire, which investigators believe was done to conceal the crime, KMOV reports.

On March 10, James, 39, was arrested and charged with three counts of continued aggravated sexual assault of a child. He had previously been accused of raping and impregnating Jeffcoat.

On April 29, Deborah, 38, was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault. Her arrest warrant provides disturbing details about her daughter's abuse.

According to court documents, Jeffcoat was being sexually abused as far back as 2008, when blood tests performed after a car accident revealed she had contracted a sexually transmitted disease. A further examination found that she had sustained "penetrating injuries," according to KMOV.

On Jan. 29, Jeffcoat reported to school officials her stepfather had impregnated her, and that she didn’t want to go home with him because she didn't want to have sex. "The sex hurt," she said.

She also told them her mother didn't want her to have the baby, and that her stepfather was planning to terminate the pregnancy with a coat hanger.

School officials confronted Deborah, who denied having any knowledge of the sexual abuse, according to the New York Daily News. She did admit her husband had been using methamphetamine for several years.

Jeffcoat, who had the mental capacity of a 7-year-old, was taken to the Children's Advocacy Center on Feb. 2, where she told officials she had been molested by her stepfather since she was 12.

Eight days later, on Feb. 10, she was dead.

The new charges against Deborah are on based on the allegation she knew about the sexual abuse of her daughter all along, and did nothing to stop it. She is being held at Lubbock County Detention Center in lieu of $500,000 bail.

No one has been charged with Jeffcoat's murder, according to The Associated Press.
