A Utah teenager was kicked out of school for reportedly dying her hair a mix of red and brown (video below).
15-year-old Rylee MacKay was so serious about following her school's dress code that she specifically brought a copy of it with her when she went to go get the dye job, according to LittleThings.
But MacKay was not approached until the school vice principal, Jan Goodwin, saw MacKay's hair in the sunlight and noted it looked like a mix between purple and pink.
Popular VideoThis judge looked an inmate square in the eyes and did something that left the entire courtroom in tears:
“All I wanted to do was just get back to school,” MacKay said.
"They told me it looked like the pink had gone out, and I told them that there had never been any pink in it. In the light, he said it was pinkish purplish.”
School officials then warned her that she would be suspended if she did not change her hair to match school dress and grooming policies.
MacKay's school district does not allow "extreme hairstyles” and states that "hair colors should be within the spectrum of color that hair grows naturally."
