A man was caught on tape trying to grab a woman and rip her clothes off while she walked her dog in New York City at 7 a.m. on Sunday.

The suspect ran from the scene after another person approached the area, and police are still looking to catch him, according to the New York Post.

The woman, 30, was walking her small dog in Inwood in the early morning when the man attacked her on the street, according to the NY Daily News.

She eventually fought off the man and made it back to her apartment safely.

The attacker was clad in a white T-shirt, jean shorts and a baseball cap at the crime scene and is suspected to be in his late 20s, 180 pounds and almost six feet tall.

The attack worried some dog-walkers in the neighborhood, including 53-year-old Helen Smith.

“I walk my dog every day at that time,” Smith said. “I walk right down that block. I'm sure not going to do that anymore.”
