Harvard Students: Trump More Dangerous Than ISIS (Video)

| by Lauren Briggs

According to the survey responses from a number students at Harvard University, President Donald Trump's policies are more dangerous than ISIS (video below).

Findings from the non-scientific survey, conducted by Campus Reform, suggests that a growing number of Ivy League students believe Trump's rhetoric and policies pose a greater threat to the U.S. than ISIS, according to Fox News.

"I think more of [Trump's] policies mainly because I think terrorism really isn't that big of a deal," one Harvard student tells Campus Reform's Cabot Phillips in a video, adding that there are "people getting killed on the streets everyday" in the U.S.

Several students say in the interview that they would need to wait and see what happens over the course of Trump's term, as he had only been in office for three months at the time of the survey, although a majority still said that if they had to choose between the two, they'd say Trump's "rhetoric and policies" puts "more Americans … at risk."

"Do I think ISIS is going to cause a threat to me living my everyday life?" says one student. "Not really. Do I think the rhetoric that Donald Trump is using and empowering these folks hidden in a corner for a long time with hateful views … Do I think that's more of a threat than ISIS? Yes."

The student goes on to say that he doesn't think Trump "really cares about the American people."

Another says that America "has the military prowess that renders ISIS to not be as big of a threat," so thus leaving Trump the greater danger.

"There are known to be violent demonstrations if there's people [Trump] has spoken out against," one student reasons.

One student says that she doesn't consider either of them to be particularly threatening and adds that she thinks campus liberals have a much louder voice than those who lean to the right.

"It's very hard on campus for conservatives to speak out because there's so much tension right now in our country," she says.

Phillips told "Fox & Friends" on April 6 that the media, professors and former President Barack Obama have "constantly" told people that they should fear Trump, causing them not to "fear nothing" but rather to "fear the wrong things."

"We always see students that are saying everything threatens them in the world and they are always being taught by the media the sensationalist idea that everything Donald Trump does must be the end of the world," Phillips explained.
