On Nov. 18, Vice President-elect Mike Pence took a break from Transition Team meetings at Manhattan's Trump Tower to enjoy a performance of the Broadway hit musical "Hamilton."
At the end of the performance, the cast stepped forward, led by Brandon Victor Dixon, who currently plays the role of Aaron Burr, to deliver a message to Pence:
Vice President-elect, I see you walking out but I hope you will hear us.
We are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values, and work on behalf of all of us.

The crowd erupted into applause, but President-elect Donald Trump was upset by the event.
“Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing,” Trump said in a Twitter rant Nov. 19. “This should not happen! ... The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!”
Mike Pence, for his part, maintains that he was unoffended by the speech, notes Playbill.
“... at the end, I did hear what was said from the stage, and I can tell you, I wasn’t offended by what was said,” Pence said. “I’ll leave to others whether that was the appropriate venue to say it.”

Pence, according to Deadline, was booed several times during the show.
Now, a new investigation reveals that several of the Hamilton cast members present that night have not voted in years, reports Radar Online.
The records show that Victor Dixon has not voted since the 2012 election. Fellow cast members Okieriete “Oak” Onaodowan and Javier Munoz registered to vote in 2005 and 2006, respectively, but both have failed to vote since then. Cast member Seth Stewart voted in 2008, but skipped 2012. And Anthony Ramos Martinez registered to vote in 2012, but has not voted since.
Trump added in a Nov. 20 tweet: “The cast and producers of Hamilton, which I hear is highly overrated, should immediately apologize to Mike Pence for their terrible behavior”.
