A Japanese woman was shocked after she reportedly found a giant Asian hornet crawling through the sweaters in her closet.

The giant creature was identified as an Asian hornet, or vespa mandarinia, the Daily Mail reported.

The insect is native to the mountains of Japan. They are also known as osuzumebachi, or sparrow bee. They reportedly possess a powerful venom strong enough to dissolve human tissue.

The woman found the Asian hornet on one of the sweaters in her closet. It was about 3 inches long. She was reportedly able to dispose of the bee without being stung or injuring it.

Asian hornets were blamed for the death of six people in France in 2015, Metro UK reported. The victims died as a result of anaphylaxis from the bee stings. The bees were believed to have been imported on a Chinese pot plant.
