Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina has made his dislike of the Obama administration well-known. Now he’s saying that a President Ted Cruz would be even worse.

Graham, who dropped out of the 2016 presidential race in December 2015, said that Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas is “just as wrong as Obama, if not worse.”

“Ted Cruz, at his core, is an opportunist when it comes to his political career,” Graham told CNN on Feb. 5. “He has an ideological bent that won’t sell with the American people.”

Graham has served in Congress along with Cruz, and concluded that “what he’s done is run down other Republicans, he hasn’t solved any problem.”

A foreign policy wonk, the South Carolina senator added that “in Ted Cruz’s world, dictators do very well.”

Graham didn’t mince words describing business mogul Donald Trump either, calling his campaign platform “gibberish” and stating that he doesn’t have “the temperament” to be president.

Asked if he had a favorite of the three most victorious candidates of the Iowa caucus, Graham answered “Marco (Rubio) has a worldview consistent with reason and reality versus the other two.”

Despite that praise, Graham has been critical of Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida in the not-distant past, as well.

“I like Marco … but he has now turned hard right,” Graham told MSNBC on Feb. 1, slamming the Florida senator’s position on abortion, according to The Blaze. “Marco has no exception for rape and incest.”

Graham also blasted Cruz for not making the same exceptions. “If a woman is raped in Ted Cruz’s world, she’s going to have to carry the baby of the rapist.”

The South Carolina senator also said that on the issue of immigration, “Ted was for legalization, no matter what he tells you, and now he says he doesn’t.”

Graham called Cruz the “least respected” senator in Congress during a Jan. 19 interview on Fox News Radio.

“He’s been the most disruptive influence in the Senate, he hasn’t passed anything meaningful — his idea to shut down the entire government to get [President] Barack Obama to [repeal] Obamacare … hurt the Republican party. He does not have the ability to pull this country together," Graham said, according to The Dallas Morning News.

Graham has endorsed former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush for president.

“I’m gonna support the Republican nominee,” Graham told CNN. If that nominee is Cruz or Trump? “I’m gonna buy a ticket on the Titanic.”
