Reba McEntire Stays Out Of Politics

| by John Freund

Country music star Reba McEntire has publicly stated that celebrities and entertainers should not share their political views.

Breitbart reports that McEntire visited the ladies of "The View" recently, where co-host Joy Behar asked her about rapper Drake’s F-bomb-laced tirade against President Donald Trump to fans during a performance in England -- a tirade which was fully reported by The Grio.

Behar asked McEntire, “If you ever went on a political rant in the middle of your act, what would happen?”

“My fans would be shocked,” McEntire responded. “I take it this way: they have paid their hard-earned money to come in there and fill a seat — parking, getting something at the concession stand, go and eat before the concert — I am there to entertain them, to take their worries away from them, so when they walk out, they can kind of have a little lift in their step and go, ‘Aw, that was such a great break from all the problems I have to deal with during daily life.’ So I’m not going to give them my political views.”

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.

Behar followed up by asking if McEntire was merely concerned about losing half her audience, to which the two-time Grammy winner responded, “That’s not as important as this is my job to entertain. It shouldn’t be my platform to be up on stage giving my political views.”

McEntire then went on to praise Lady Gaga for her Super Bowl halftime show performance, which she said focused on unity rather than political divisiveness.
