NYC Jewelry Store Sells Swastika Earrings

| by Michael Allen

Greenpoint’s Bejeweled boutique in Brooklyn sells numerous types of handmade jewelry, including swasticka earrings, which are priced at $5.99.

Gothamist.com asked an employee at Bejeweled if she thought the swastika earrings were offensive, and she said, “No.”

The swasticka isn’t exclusively associated with Nazism, it is still used in many Eastern religions, but should the store be selling these earrings when they carry an anti-Semitic connotation?
