Fox News Radio host Todd Starnes believes Indian-American Miss New York Nina Davuluri only won Miss America because the “liberal” judges liked that she doesn’t represent “American values.”
Starnes tweeted Sunday night, “The liberal Miss America judges won't say this — but Miss Kansas lost because she actually represented American values.”
Miss Kansas, Theresa Vail, is a blonde-haired, blue-eyed woman who spent five years in the Kansas Army National Guard. She is a double major in chemistry and Chinese at the Kansas State University.
Starnes wrote on his Facebook page that Americans really wants Vail, but the judges had their own agenda.

“Americans were backing Miss Kansas — but the liberal Miss America judges were not interested in a gun-toting, deer-hunting, military veteran,” he wrote.
Starnes was at least satisfied that all the contestants identified as female.
“It’s time to crown a new Miss America!” he wrote on Facebook. “And in spite of the winds of cultural change, this is still an American tradition that requires its contestants to be ladies — although I’m sure the gender-neutral crowd is plotting.”
Davuluri is the first Indian-American to be crowned Miss America. A native of Syracuse, N.Y., Davuluri is studying to become a doctor.

Some Miss America viewers were dismayed that she won, sparking racist tweets Sunday night.
“Well they just picked a Muslim for Miss America,” one user wrote. “That must’ve made Obama happy. Maybe he had a vote.”
“I am literally soo mad right now a ARAB won. #MissAmerica” tweeted another.
“When will a white woman win #missamerica? Ever?” asked one user.
Mallory Hytes Hagan — also crowned Miss New York — won Miss America 2013. She’s white, blonde-haired and blue-eyed.
