A new poll suggests that Americans believe current President Donald Trump and former President Barack Obama to be the worst presidents since World War II.
The survey was carried out on Feb. 9 and 10 by the Morning Consult and Politico.
Trump was selected as the worst president by 26 percent of respondents, while Obama was chosen by 25 percent. Partisanship was evident in the results, with 49 percent of Republicans saying Obama was the worst, compared to 47 percent of Democrats opting for Trump.
On the other hand, 20 percent of participants said they thought Obama had been the best president. Trump scored only 6 percent, but has yet to complete his first month in office.

As Obama prepared to leave office last month, his approval rating reached its highest level since June 2009. According to CNN, Obama's approval rating was 60 percent. One quarter of those polled described Obama as one of the nation's greatest presidents, while 23 percent stated he was among the worst.
The post-war president with the highest approval rating in the Morning Consult/Politico poll was John F. Kennedy. He was viewed favorably by 84 percent of those polled. Among Republicans, Ronald Reagan and Dwight Eisenhower led the way.
Looking ahead, 47 percent of those polled said they thought Obama's legacy would mean he will be viewed as an outstanding or above average president. 32 percent felt the same way about Trump.
The lower ratings for Trump come as he continues to deal with the fallout from retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn's resignation from his post as national security adviser.
