| by Denise Recalde

Recent bullying incidents at a Colorado high school have caused tremendous tension and stress for a 15-year-old girl and her family (video below). Police have decided to investigate as a viral video emerged online depicting one such incident.

The teenager and alleged target of the bullying, Laniey, says she received constant threats and expletive-laden taunts from fellow students that have emotionally tormented her.

She claims the bullying has escalated to a point where she no longer feels safe at Gateway High School in Aurora, Colorado, KDVR reports.

A video of one such bullying incident involving Laniey that took place on April 19 has been viewed millions of times on Facebook.

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.

"It was terrifying," said Amanda Brown, Laniey's mom.

Brown and her family recorded the video showing two Gateway High School freshmen outside the school, one with a large rock in her hand, threatening to hurl it at Amanda's car.

"If this is the way they're talking to me, an adult, her mother, I can't even begin to imagine the torment that my daughter has been facing," Amanda said.

According to The Denver City Page, the mother wrote the following on Facebook: "These girls saw Laniey in my car last week as we were out to lunch, and proceeded to call me a b****, tell me to park my car and get the f*** out as we drove past them."

Citing concern for Laniey's safety, she has since taken her daughter out of school.

"My whole life is getting torn apart because of all of this," Laniey said.

The teenager explained that a perceived interest in a boy roused a negative reaction in three girls, whose mission it became to follow her at school and after school.

Worsening over time, the girls even began to show up at Laniey's house in a bid to fight her and her mother, the 15-year-old said.

The bullying escalated to such a point that school security was made to create a distance between the girls and Laniey at the school.

Security officials weren't there on April 19 when Laniey, walking home from school, said she was threatened by two of the bullying girls. She called her mother for help.

"It was scary because it was all of them against me," Laniey said.

According to the alleged victim, the two girls were threatening to strike Laniey with their skateboards.

The Aurora Police Department is investigating the video.

School district leaders are mulling disciplinary actions against the girls.

Amanda says her family is hoping for expulsion as prior suspensions have not curbed their bullying behavior.

"I just want to go back to school, like, that's all I want to do," Laniey said.
