Teacher's 'Tuck Frump' Jacket Lands Her In Hot Water (Photos)

A West Virginia teacher's job may be on the line after a student snapped a picture of her wearing a humorous jacket that is critical of the president.

The back of the jacket read "Tuck Frump" with the curse highlighted in white.

Cheryl Judy, the art teacher for Boone County Sherman Junior High and High Schools, says she briefly put on the jacket to show some "like-minded" students the article she planned to wear later on at the Boone school board meeting, according to the West Virginia Charleston Gazette-Mail. She eventually did.

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.

But after a student shared a picture of the jacket over social media, Judy and the school have been dragged into the spotlight.

In a statement to WOWK, Judy tried to set the record straight:

First, yes, I did wear that jacket to school, sans the patch on the back. I took the patch with me so that I could pin it onto the jacket before I left school. This was on Thursday. Since I had a little time before school was out to pin the patch on the jacket, so I did. I tried it on to make sure that the patch was straight. I only had it on for less than two minutes. A like minded student snapped a photo and shared it on social media without my permission. This has gotten so blown out of proportion that it's unreal. I never intended for this to happen. I did not put the jacket back on and made sure that the patch was not exposed until I was well away from school. People think that I flaunted the jacked at school. I did not. I am a very liberal person but I never force my liberalism on others and never would.

Some parents believe she should be reprimanded. Others called for Judy's resignation. The school's superintendent Jeff Huffman says he will launch an investigation after the school's spring break ends, reports WSAZ.

Because of the investigation, Judy fears for her job. She's been a public school teacher for 23 years, and she's spent more than half that time in Boone.

Many parents wished people would focus on the struggling school district's more pressing issues. WOWK cited a recent embezzlement case that has already led to two school employees being arrested and two Board of Education members resigning.

The Charleston Gazette-Mail cited the troubling lack of transparency after Democratic Gov. Jim Justice abruptly canceled public hearings on proposed school closures for the cash-strapped county.
