President Barack Obama's poll ratings are reportedly the most positive he has received in years.

Of all Americans, 48.5 percent approve of the job Obama is doing, while nearly the same amount, 48.2 percent, view his work negatively, according to the HuffPost Pollster.

This is the first time the poll has found Obama’s job approval rating to be in the positive range since the spring of 2013.

A Gallup poll conducted between Feb. 29 and March 6, 2016, has similar findings.

Fifty percent of Americans approve of the job Obama is doing, the poll finds. Forty-six percent disapprove, with 4 percent having no opinion.

The poll conducted a week earlier by Gallup found 48 percent in approval of the president’s performance, with 47 percent against.

In just one week, Obama’s approval rating jumped 2 percent. Before that time it had held steady in the high 40s since the beginning of the year.

Obama has not received an approval rating higher than 49 percent in a Gallup poll since April 2013.

On average, presidents between 1938-2016 had an approval rating of 53 percent.
