A Long Island health teacher is saying he was fired after he appeared shirtless at a wild pool party on the reality TV show “Princesses: Long Island.” Stefan Serie, 30, was working at Merrick Avenue Middle School when he made his appearance in the first episode of the new Bravo show. In the short snippet in which he appears, Serie laughs in the background as the “princesses” drink booze from red plastic cups and bounce around in bikinis by a pool.

“I was an ancillary character in the background,” Serie said. “The behavior of the cast members was not something I wanted to be a part of moving forward.”

A week after the episode aired in June, Serie said he was taken to the school district office by angry officials. Be claims that his offer for tenure was revoked and that administrators pressured him to resign. Serie reluctantly agreed to quit and gave up his $75,000-a-year job

“It was a coerced resignation,” he said.

He is now fighting to get his job back and says that he will sue the TV show if the school turns down his request, The Daily Mail reported.

“I didn't do anything that I would tell my students not to do,” Serie said.

Parents at the school hope that he will be back in the fall.

Rosemary Garofolo has two 12-year-old sons who took Serie’s seventh-grade health class. “I don’t think there’s a kid in that school that didn’t love him,” she said. “Honestly, I think as long as he wasn’t doing anything illegal on the show, I don’t see why it should matter what he does in his time.”
