There may be a new Craigslist killer on the loose, as a man from Cromwell, Conn. was shot in the head after he went to meet another man who wanted to buy his Samsung tablet.
Felix DeJesus III (pictured), 40, died of a single gunshot wound to the head after he went to meet a man in Hartford who was interested in buying his device.
The man's father, Felix DeJesus Jr., said the buyer was particularly keen on purchasing the gadget and called him multiple times about it.
DeJesus Jr. said, "This guy kept on calling and calling, so the guy arranged for my son to see him last night and my son said, 'Oh, I'll be back, dad.'"
"The guy had no nerve, didn't even wait for him to get out of the car. Shot him right in the car. They took my son, my only son. Now his kids are left alone with nobody except for us, that's just not right."
Police responded to a 911 call and found DeJesus sitting in his car unconscious.
He was taken to Hartford Hospital and was removed form life support at 3:45 a.m.
"My son, I taught him how to be a good man, not a hoodlum in the streets and this guy, whoever killed him, I wish he dropped dead. I wish somebody finds him and shoots him in the head so he can know how it feels," DeJesus Jr. said.
DeJesus III leaves behind a fiancee and two children, ages one and two.
Police said they have a witness they are attempting to speak with, and they are not sure that the man who attempted to buy the tablet was the killer.
"As we speak Major Crimes is actively investigating. We'll continue to investigate. We're making progress with the investigation," Hartford Police Lt. Brian Foley said.
