An Australian man who tried to carjack three vehicles on a highway was chased down by angry victims and hogtied until cops arrived.
The 26-year-old man allegedly smashed the windscreen of a moving truck in Karragullan on Friday. The driver lost control of the truck and flipped the vehicle onto its side.
Another motorist stopped to help, but the man attacked them with a stick. He then tried to carjack another woman who pulled up to the scene.
Driver Phil Ferrara said the man, who was not identified, was “going crazy.”
"He tried to drag the girl out of her car and carjack her, ripping at her clothes and hair," he told 9News.
He then began stripping off his clothing.
The victims called emergency services as the man fled. They chased him down, threw him on the ground and hogtied him.
The attacker was taken to Armadale Hospital.
He was later charged with endangering a life, health or safety of a person. He is expected to appear in court later this month.
