Milwaukee Store Owner Fires Assault Rifle At Alleged Robbers, Hits One (Video)

| by Michael Allen

Rami Murrar opened fire on some alleged burglars from inside his Milwaukee store in June. Murrar recently posted a surveillance video (below) of the incident on his Instagram page.

There is no audio with the video, but Murrar is seen firing his weapon multiple times towards the entrance his store, shattering the glass door.

The would-be burglars reportedly tried to back a van through the doors of Bouchards Clothing Store.

"It was a lot of guys out there, like I said," Murrar told WISN. "So I believe if they would've gotten through the door, I would've been dead, so that's the reason, again, I reached for my gun."

One of the suspects, Deishun Byrd-McWay, was hit multiple times. He was taken to a hospital by his alleged accomplices, but did not cooperate with the cops.

"I'm glad the guy made it," Murrar added. "You know, again, I didn't come to work that night or that day to kill somebody, so I hope he recovers from what happened, and he learns a lesson and be a good message for all the young guys out there."

Byrd-McWay is facing two felony charges - burglary and criminal damage to property - but has pleaded not guilty. Murrar will not be charged.

A Bouchards Clothing Store employee was shot in 2014 during an attempted robbery, noted CBS 58.
