Michigan Man Knocked Unconscious While Attempting Gas Station Robbery (Video)

| by Emily Smith

Michigan man Frederick Coble and his girlfriend Christina Borcea decided to rob a gas station earlier this month. Their triumph can be seen in footage made public on Wednesday.

The couple smoked reportedly crack cocaine and guzzled a few alcoholic drinks before robbing the gas station for cigarettes on May 1.

When the two entered the gas station, the 22-year-old clerk made his way to the front of the store. The couple pretended as though they were going to buy cigarettes, but Coble took the clerk by surprise and attempted to hit him with pliers.

The young clerk jumped into action and knocked Coble out cold on the tile floor. After attempting to wake her boyfriend, Borcea grabbed a bundle of cash from the open register and ran. She dropped much of the money on the way out.

The clerk called police as Coble awoke and stumbled out of the store.

Both Coble and Borcea were charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. They are currently being held on $250,000 bail.
